Your questions, answered
Everything about the daily quiz, the prizes and who can play.
When can I play Astuto?
Astuto is coming soon to iPhone and Android. Follow us on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or X for a new question every day while you wait, or try today's question on our website.
Is Astuto free to play?
Yes. Astuto is free to download and free to play. Optional extras are available, but you never need to buy anything to play or to win a prize.
How does the daily quiz work?
Every day there's a new quiz: five questions, built around the topics you pick, with ten seconds on each. Get a question right to score, and the faster you answer, the more you score. Question five is the Final Question, worth triple points. It takes about two minutes, and you get one go a day.
How do the prizes work?
Each day's leaderboard ranks everyone who played, on knowledge and speed. The top 3 win a gift card, and so do the top 3 on the monthly leaderboard. Winners are told in the app and claim their prize there. The full details, including how ties are settled, are in the Prize & Competition Rules.
Is Astuto a game of skill or chance? Is it gambling?
Skill, not chance. Prizes go to the top 3 on the daily and monthly leaderboards, which are decided by how many questions you get right and how fast you answer. There's no entry fee and nothing to stake, so it isn't gambling.
Who can play, and who can win?
Anyone aged 16 or over can play. To win a prize, you need to be 18 or over and live in the UK. See the Prize & Competition Rules for full eligibility.
Which countries is Astuto in?
We're launching in the UK first, with more countries to follow.
How is Astuto different from other quiz apps?
It's one sharp quiz a day, not an endless feed. Five questions, two minutes, and a leaderboard that rewards knowing your stuff and answering fast. It's free to enter, and the top 3 every day and every month win a gift card.
Can I play against my friends?
Yes. Add friends in the app and you'll see each other on your own friends board, every day.
What's the question of the day?
A free question on our website every day, with four options, the answer and the story behind it. It's a taste of what the app asks. Try today's question, or browse past ones by topic.
Is Astuto legit?
Yes. Astuto is run by Astuto Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (No. 17263058). Our Prize & Competition Rules, Terms and Privacy Policy are all published on this site.
How do I delete my account or my data?
You can delete your account in the app, under Settings, or by email. Our delete-your-account page explains how, and what we keep and for how long.
