Film Quiz Questions and Answers
Films stay with us long after the credits, and so do the stories behind them. This page collects every film question we've set on Astuto, with the answer and the background.
You'll find British classics, Ealing comedies, Hollywood history and the details that film fans love to bring up at exactly the right moment: who played how many parts, where a famous scene was really filmed, and which plot turns on a piece of history nobody expected.
Each question has four options and one right answer. Make your guess, then open the answer and read the short explanation underneath. It usually comes with a source, in case someone at the table wants to argue.
New film questions arrive every week as part of our question of the day.
