Geography Quiz Questions and Answers
Geography questions have a habit of catching out confident people. Everyone knows the capital cities. Fewer people know which river ends where, which county holds the highest peak, or which island group a famous sea stack belongs to.
This page gathers every geography question we've set on Astuto, from the UK and Ireland out to the rest of the world. Each has four options and one right answer, with a short explanation and a source you can check.
Read the question carefully. Geography rewards precision: "entirely in England" is not the same as "in the UK", and the obvious answer isn't always the right one. That's half the fun.
New geography questions are added every week as part of our question of the day. Keep an atlas nearby if you like. We won't tell anyone.
